Orton-Gillingham Services
We offer different ways to be tutored to read and write using the Orton Gillingham approach.
Tutoring
Tutoring sessions are held Monday through Thursday 3pm to 6pm in the evenings in Crestwood, KY 40014.
Reading and writing skills are the foundation for all learning.
Don't wait to get your child the tutoring he/she needs. The time is now and will increase reading scores. Guess what? It increases self-confidence! It works!
Tutoring is $75.00 per hour.
The Orton Gillingham Assessment is required in order to begin tutoring at $300.00.
You will receive a 6 page detailed report on the phonemes, graphemes, decoding, blending, Magic E, Dibels Fluency, Rote Memory Words, handwriting, short vowels and grammar.
The final assessment creates individualized lesson plans.

Finnish School
The Finnish School provides Orton-Gillingham Classes for Reading and Writing on Monday and Wednesday from 10am for those wanting to learn to read and write. Our teachers are OG trained tutors.

$400 per month on a sliding scale
We have two trained OG tutors to work with each student.
Pre-registration is required along with an OG Assessment.

Camp Bookworm
Camp Bookworm, June 9-20th, 5:30pm-8:30pm provides reading and writings lessons Monday through Friday evenings.
Preregistration is required by May 1, 2025. This includes a $400 camp fee and Orton Gillingham Assessment.
OG tutors provide excellent instruction in handwriting, phonemes, graphemes, sight words, fluency, 8 parts of speech, paragraph development and reading comprehension.
Camp Bookworm is being held in Crestwood, Kentucky and is open to all Kindergarten through 8th Grade students.
